Bali City, Indonesia HIGHLIGHTS:

Best time to go to Indonesia:

The best time to visit Bali is between April and October, the island's dry season. Although the weather is ideal for travellers, the island is also subject to soupy, humid days throughout the year. Many shops offer sales and promotions; restaurants are less crowded in those mid-season months. You'll be treated to lush showers of rain, overcast skies and thick clouds, ready to relinquish the rain. From June and August, the island is treated to sweeping gusts of winds. What's especially beautiful about this season is the sight of hundreds of Balinese kites dancing in the wind – and why not? This is "kite season" as the Balinese locals call it. This is the time Bali is the busiest.

If mixing with the festive crowds of people or spending your time on a bustling beach sounds right to you, then July-August and Christmas-New Year are two of the busiest slots in Bali's calendar. July-August gives you a pleasant mix of rain and dry weather, with occasional showers and long sunny days. The weather of Bali in winter provides lush showers, and an increase of around 90mm of rainfall for the island.

Bali, Indonesia:

Waterbom Bali:

First opened on the island of Bali just over 28 years ago, in 1993, Waterbom Bali is a boutique, botanical waterpark experience, nestled in the heart of Kuta. The park was built with the aim to create a space that provides visitors a memorable and fun experience, while also respecting the natural world around us. Thus, Waterbom Bali was consciously developed to complement the existing environment, with over 50% of the area's local greenery being conserved, and all the slides and features of the park built around the existing flora and fauna, rather than over it.

Surrounding Waterbom's world-class slides and attractions, lies a carefully landscaped sanctuary of gardens and water systems proudly representing the beauty of Bali.

To this day, Waterbom encompasses more than 5 hectares, including slides, our popular 'Pleasure Pool' with swim-up bar, private gazebo areas, expansive lawns and multiple restaurants and still maintains more than half of the park as green space, including a number of endangered native species.

Kelingking Beach:

Kelingking Beach is one of the most famous spot of Nusa Penida, often featured in advertisements for Bali and Indonesia. Its unique rock formations resemble the backbone of a dinosaur and it's even nicknamed T-Rex Bay on Google Maps. From the top of the cliff, visitors may even spot Manta rays.

Tourists flock to the esplanade for breathtaking views and drone photography. The popularity of Kelingking Beach has greatly contributed to the tourist growth of Nusa Penida island, particularly through social media. Interestingly, "Kelingking" also means pinky finger in Indonesian, but the reason behind it requires a little imagination.

The Ceking Rice Terraces, also known as the Tegalalang Rice Terraces, is a world where emerald-green landscapes stretch as far as the eye can see, and ancient terraces whisper tales of a rich agricultural heritage. Come meander with me on an extraordinary journey to discover the awe-inspiring beauty of the Rice Terraces and the UNESCO-recognized subak irrigation system.

Close your eyes for a moment and imagine standing on the edge of rolling hills adorned with meticulously carved terraces, where vibrant green rice paddies cascade down the slopes like nature's staircase. The sheer grandeur of this living tapestry will leave you breathless, while the tranquillity of the surroundings will soothe your soul.

Penida Island:

Nusa Penida is an island located near the southeastern Indonesian island of Bali and a district of Klungkung Regency that includes the neighbouring small island of Nusa Lembongan and twelve even smaller islands. The Badung Strait separates the island and Bali. The interior of Nusa Penida is hilly with a maximum altitude of 524 metres. It is drier than the nearby island of Bali. It is one of the major tourist attractions among the three Nusa islands.

There are thirteen small islands nearby – Nusa Lembongan, Nusa Ceningan and eleven even smaller – which are included within the administrative district (kecamatan), which has the same name as the main island. The district had a population of 45,110 at the 2010 census, covering 202.84 km.

Denpasar:

Although Denpasar may not be as popular as the vibrant tourist's compound of Kuta land Legian or the thrilling waves of the island's south coast, holds its own charm as a place where modernity and Balinese distinct culture blend flawlessly as a whole. Denpasar is the capital City of Bali Island, and also acts as the major hub that connects the many tourists' destinations within Bali Island. Denpasar is also the site where the famous Bali Arts Festival is held annually. Designated as Bali's capital since 1958, replacing the former capital of Singaraja in the north, the city of Denpasar has since then grown rapidly in population and economy.

waterfall in bali:

Bali has spoiled us with its breathtaking array of picturesque waterfalls, showcasing some of the most magnificent natural sights we've ever encountered on our travels.

Most of these natural wonders are nestled in central and northern Bali, where the unique landscape shaped by two towering volcanoes has created the ideal setting for some extraordinary waterfalls. These vary from powerful single-drop falls to stunning cascades and those steeped in spiritual significance.

Bali Museum:

Bali Museum or also known as Bali Provincial State Museum is located on the east side of Puputan Square Denpasar. This place has several exhibition halls, each showcasing different varieties of historical data from the Mesolithic Age to the modern era. You will find vast collections of displays from paintings, artefacts and statues along with inscriptions. There are also weapons used in the bronze age of Bali, some religious relics and musical instruments.

The garden area is well taken care of, makes the visitors feel comfortable strolling around the museum area.
