ABSTRACT

One of the approaches to promote active learning in higher education is ClassPoint. As a result of this instructors do not need to switch to other application during their teaching. The use of ClassPoint in teaching would enhance active learning amongst learners and also make them responsible for their learning. Moreover, ClassPoint's ability to facilitate instant feedback and peer interaction fosters a collaborative learning atmosphere. Students can engage in group discussions, problem-solving activities, and other interactive exercises that promote critical thinking and deeper comprehension of the subject matter. As such, there is a need to explore the effectiveness of using ClassPoint as a tool to enhance active learning amongst students pursuing higher learning. Hence, to achieve this objective ClassPoint was integrated into the teaching sessions during the lessons which encouraged students to be more collaborative and engaging in class. This study was conducted on students enrolled in pre-university studies in a Private Higher Learning Institution in Klang Valley, Malaysia. This study is aimed at creating active learners amongst pre-university students by exploring the use of ClassPoint.
