Presenter and Chair Instructions

Presenter
  • Please be at your session time 10 minutes before the scheduled start time to meet your Chair and Discussant
  • Speakers will upload their PPT presentations onto the computer in each room in the ten minutes before the session commences.
  • Presentations must be provided on a USB (memory stick), with the file in a Power Point PC format.
  • There will be NO time to swap computers over between preload presentations.
  • Roaming AV technicians will be onsite to assist with any troubleshooting during sessions.
  • Presentation format consists of: Abstract Based Presentation time: 10-12 minutes Paper Based Presentation time: 12 minutes Question and Answer: 3-5 minutes (12-15 minutes respectively)

Chair
  • Please arrive at your session room no less than 10 minutes prior to the start of the session. The paper presenters will also arrive at this time, and this will give you an opportunity to introduce yourself and clarify the proceedings with each of them.
  • At the start of each session, please welcome the audience, outline any housekeeping notes and introduce the speaker with their paper title. Please keep this introduction brief (20-25 secs at most)
  • Please alert a paper presenter at two time-points: (1) 5 minutes before their scheduled completion time, and (2) one minute prior to the end of presentation.
  • The 5 minutes question/discussion time open to the floor for each paperends.
  • Sessions are to commence sharply on time. Please ensure that question and answer time is carefully managed and that the feedback to authors is constructive.
  • Speakers will upload their PPT presentations onto the computer in each room in the ten minutes before the session commences.

It is vital to strictly keep each paper session to the allocated time frame so that delegates are able to move between session rooms as well as to give all speakers their allocated time to make their presentations
