Analysis of Return and Risk of Investment in Cryptocurrency in Indonesia

This study aims to analyze the differences in return and risk of investing in cryptocurrency in Indonesia. The research uses quantitative methods with a descriptive approach and the data used is secondary data. The population in this study were 383 Cryptocurrencies that are legal in Indonesia or registered with the Commodity Futures Trading Supervisory Agency (Bappepti). Samples were taken using the purposive sampling technique by determining 5 cryptocurrency samples that had the largest market capitalization during the observation period from January 2020 to September 2022. The data analysis technique used the Kruskal-Wallis test. The results showed that there were no significant differences in return and risk between Bitcoin, Ethereum, Tether, BNB, and USD coins.
