ABSTRACT

The existence and purpose of global geopark management is to fulfill the commitment to contribute to the achievement of each of the main goals of the SDGs. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of the five reporting bottom line model as an infrastructure for managing the Meratus National Geopark in fulfilling the criteria for information communication towards UNESCO Global Geopark (UGGp) status. This research design uses a mixed method. First, with an explanatory survey conducted on 135 respondents as stakeholders of the UGGp SDGs using the Chi square and C-contingency tests. Second, conducting semi-structured interviews with related key persons. The results of this study indicate a difference in SDGs reporting using the five reporting bottom line with an observation FO of 268.91 greater than the FE table of 46.19, and there is a relationship in the application of theory with moderate results of 0.4257. This shows a role in the relationship between the application of the five reporting bottom lines and the contribution of the UNESCO Global Geopark in achieving the 17 SDGs goals through monitoring and reporting for the economic, social, environmental, legal and governance pillars. Novelty: The use of the five bottom line reporting theory model as a voluntary initiative for the Meratus Geopark Management Agency of the local government. The opinions of key stakeholders are interpreted that reporting for accountability of the Meratus Management Agency is important. This study has implications for the importance of fulfilling the role of the state, private sector, and society in fulfilling their commitment to achieving sustainable development goals, through a "national knowledge system model".
